This video shows how to repair a Presonus faderport classic by replacing the transformer power supply with another and splicing the tip. This can save you a few bucks as well as your valuable time waiting for shipping, especially if you already have a power adapter sitting around.
Without the proper power supply, the Faderport cannot provide enough power to run the motorized fader, but the rest of the functions will work on USB power alone. Why not save some cash and fix that faderport as well!
