Demo: Making Mobile Music with BandLab!

Making music today has never been easier or cheaper. Does that mean that it will sound like garbage though? Not necessarily. With the availability of Free Loops, Virtual Instruments and Sounds at your disposal, it really comes down to how you put those sounds together, making it about the creative process again, and NOT the tech or gear used.

So, why is this good for you?

Well, do you make music? If so, you likely have had ideas for your music pop up at times when you weren't in front of your main DAW. Yes, we all use note taking apps like Keep and Evernote, or even Audio Recorders, but having a mobile DAW takes that to the next level.

Today I demo BandLab, a total mobile recording solution for Windows, OSX, iOS and Android! It's easy to use, and lots of loops and sounds available for you to get your ideas down before you forget them.

Using the AKAI MPK Mini keyboard and a USB adapter, it's easy to record tunes.

This video looks at starting a new song on an Android device and getting ideas down quickly.

Keep making music!

Especially, thanks for being here!

P.S.

If you know of anyone who plays an instrument and or writes songs, tell them to contact me by email and I'll record their song for free. Yup, FOR FREE. Limited to one song per artist/band. Sound pretty good? It helps us both. :) Head over here to Dark Roast Recording and click the "Contact" button to email me.
